January through March is a very important time for the West Main Artists Co-op, and they are starting January with “Printing Week” which will be the 3rd week in January, celebrating Ben Franklin’s birthday.
They will be having a birthday party for him during artwalk on Thursday, January 16th.
West Main Artists Co-op is located at 578 West Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29301 and has a fully operational letterpress printing operation.
The Co-op provides affordable studio space and exhibition space for local artists. Locally made art is for sale in the Gallery Shop and the galleries. The Co-op art galleries are open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, and by appointment. The Co-op also participates in Spartanburg Art Walk. West Main Artists Co-op is a nonprofit organization, funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
